Rec Fast-Pitch Softball - American League

Instructional League that permits growth in positions, rules, and game play with added emphasis on competition while facing first or second season pitchers. Players ages 9 and 10, as of May 1st for this year's season, will play in the American League. Games are played with kids pitching.

Season Information:

• • Registration is open January 15th thru February 15th.
  • The season runs May through June (practice begins mid-April)
  • RAH plays in the Community Softball League (CSL) with teams from Cloverleaf, Copley, Highland, Revere, & West Akron.
  • Travel distance is typically within a 10-40 mile radius from Highland area.
  • Cost is $170 per player.
  • Practices and games are usually scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday afternoons.  You can expect 2-3 practices or games per week..
  • Practice is based on field and coach availability and will be scheduled on a team by team basis.
  • Uniforms: RAH will provide each player with a team shirt and socks.
  • Team equipment supplied by RAH: batting helmets and catchers' gear to be shared with team.
  • Required Player equipment: glove, bat, athletic shoes, shorts or softball pants, softball face mask and water bottle.
  • Optional Player equipment: personal helmet and softball cleats.
